INI File Descriptions

Note: If you have an option that you never use, you can delete the line in the INI file.

[FairUse] Section

Location
This is the location of the FairUse.exe (This is not the path, the executable must be listed as well)

Priority (0 = Normal, 1 = Low, 2 = High)
When FairUse is started you can have the program start in Low, Normal, or High Priority. Windows NT, 2000, and XP only.

Movies2Encode (Not Needed)
This setting is no longer needed, FUBatch will read through the INI file and determine how many movies have been setup to encode. Even if you add movies to the INI file while it is encoding it will notice that you have added them. But you can still us this setting if you want to encode less than what is in the INI file. If you put in Movies2Encode=5 it will only encode the first 5 movies.

ProgressMSG (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This will display an Alway On Top progress message, informing you of the current project that is being encoded. You can change this value while the program is running and FUBatch will either show the progress message or take it away.

HideConsole (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This will hide the FairUse Console window. With version .30 beta of FairUse I don't see why this should be visable.

HideFUBatch (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This will hide the FUBatch Icon from the System Tray.

B-Accept (Default is A)
If the primary language on your computer is not English, you can change the ALT+? to be the character needed to accept the FairUse Welcome Screen.

B-Open (Default is O)
If the primary language on your computer is not English, you can change the ALT+? to be the character needed to select the "open existing project".

B-Project (Default is P)
If the primary language on your computer is not English, you can change the ALT+? to be the character needed to select the Project field to type in the existing project.

B-Next (Default is N)
If the primary language on your computer is not English, you can change the ALT+? to be the character needed to click next throughout FairUse.

B-Recalc (Default is R)
If the primary language on your computer is not English, you can change the ALT+? to be the character needed to recalculate the Cross Cut AVI.

[Nandub] Section

Location
This is the location of the Nandub.exe (This is not the path, the executable must be listed as well)

VideoDirect
This option is in case new version of Nandub come out and the menu options change. By default Nandub has the Video option set to "Full processing mode". This option specifies the number of down spaces from the first option to get to "Direct stream copy". An easy way to test this is to open Nandub and hit Alt-V and then count how many times you have to down arrow to get to the correct option.

AudioSetting
This option is in case new version of Nandub come out and the menu options change. By default Nandub uses the AVI audio. This option specifies the number of down spaces from the first option to get to the audio option of your choice. Either "MP3 audio" or "AC3 audio". An easy way to test this is to open Nandub and hit Alt-A and then count how many times you have to down arrow to get to the correct option.

Sleep (Enter in Milliseconds)
This option is in case Nandub takes a while to open either the AVI file or MP3 file in Nandub. Some users complained that it would take a couple of minutes for Nandub to open the files. FUBatch should continue to wait for Nandub to open the file, but I thought I would add this just in case. This option is in milliseconds, for example 1000 = 1 second.

[Default] Section

This section can have any of the [Movie] Section settings in it except FileName and NandubTitle. These will be the default settings for every movie encoding. So instead of having to put Session=0 under every [Movie] section you can just have it under the [Default] section. If for some reason you need one movie to have a different setting from the default, all you need to do is put the different setting under that one [Movie] section.

Example:
[Default]
Session=0

[Movie1]
FileName=c:\terminator.fup

[Movie2]
FileName=c:\terminator2.fup

[Movie3]
FileName=c:\terminator3.fup
Session=1

For Movies 1 and 2 it would encode session 0, on Movie 3 it would encode session 1.

[Movie] Section

FileName
This is the location of the *.fup (This is not the path, you must specify the *.fup file as well)

Session
This is the session number, the session number starts at 0.

BlockInput (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This will disable both the keyboard and mouse during certain parts of the encoding. If you are running Windows 98, the program will not work if this is turned on. Also if for some reason you want keyboard and mouse ability back, just hit ctrl-alt-del and they should come back.

D-Encodes (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will delete the individual encoding files. Including both AVI's and FUD's.

D-FUP (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will delete the FairUse Project and the Index files. Do not use this option if you are encoding multiple chains within one Project file.

D-TXT1 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will delete the 1.txt File

D-TXT2 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will delete the 2.txt File

D-TXT3 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)

D-TXT4 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will delete the 4.txt File

D-AC3 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)

D-WAV (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This option will delete the WAV File after all the audio convertion is done. If you do not have WAVtoMP3 set to 1, this will still delete the WAV File.

D-MP3 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This option will delete the MP3 File after all the Nandub merging is done. If you do not have the MergeAVI set to 1, this will still delete the MP3 File.

D-CrossCutAVI (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
This option will delete the Cross Cut AVI File after all the Nandub merging is done. If you do not have the MergeAVI set to 1, this will still delete the MP3 File.

AC3toWAV (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will convert the AC3 to WAV. This option will only work if you add an Audio Encoding.

SSRateConversion (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the final output file is created, this will convert the rate on the WAV File. This option will only work if you add an Audio Encoding.

Normalize (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the AC3 file is converted to WAV, this will normalize the WAV file. This option will not work if you do not have AC3toWAV set to 1.

WAVtoMP3 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the AC3 file is converted to WAV, this will convert the WAV to MP3. This option will not work if you do not have AC3toWAV set to 1.

MergeAVI (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Once the Audio conversion is complete this will start Nandub and Merge the Cross Cut AVI File and the MP3 File. The Merged AVI file will be the name of your project minus the .fup extension but plus the session number (Matrix.fup would be Matrix.0.avi). If the file already exists, it will be over written.

AVIwithAC3 (1 = Yes, 0 = No)
Use this option if you would like to use the AC3 file instead of the MP3 when Merging the AVI. Remember to select the "AC3 audio" option in Nandub.
