We need to look at it in two conditions. The first condition is the practical revelation and solution. For example: Parents think that the Lord Jesus has captured you away, that is why they are very sorrowful, how must you solve this. The second condition is to see that the family members' worries and objections are ordained by the Bible and are also the sure process they are to undergo for their salvation. Therefore, we need to discern the schemes of the enemy.
A. Family members cannot accept such a profession, they need you to take care of the family, for the family needs people
If family members avail themselves of taking care of the family as a reason, telling you that the family needs people, and that you do not care for the family anymore and are going to be happy for yourself, then this is not bad. They know that you are going to be happy, because there is no other profession in the world that will give you eternal happiness. They also know that the care of one's family as reason will touch your heart and you will be subdued much easier. But first, we need to find out if there is really a need in the family. This is very objective. If after we've asked here and there and found out that there is really the need in the family, we should not be quick to say, "Never mind, the Lord will be responsible." Because what one faces is a real problem. But sometimes, it is the opposite, it may not be that big a problem. Most family members only feel that one needs to return favor to his own family. Under this kind of situation, we need to have an uplifted understanding.
Whether there is the need or not in the family, as sons and daughters, we need to return favor to our parents, but there is more to this. When a family nurtures forth a useful young person, should he return favor to his family? Or should he return favor to his country? Because returning favor has no end, if a family has nurtured forth a child, he has an obligation to return favor to his country. Even the people on earth know that it is not when the child stays with the family that the family gains an honor but when the child engages in meaningful work. Frankly speaking, if one day you would go abroad for further studies, your parents would even borrow money to send you out, even with tears they will still send you out. They also would not care if their children stays with them or not. Even if the children will not return for a long time, they would feel very honored. In other words, your parents have nurtured you this much, what you need to do is to search the most worthy human life. This is to return favor to your parents. Your parents may not understand it today, but one day they will understand. Everything will be manifested, after passing through time.
To be a full-timer, truly is to enter into a glorious, victorious and great career. We give ourselves for the need of the Lord's recovery and for the manifestation of the Body of Christ on earth. This is the most meaningful human life. You need to have this as your glory. You also have to say to the Lord, "Lord! Thank You, my parents have nurtured me up to now, having still a pure mind to choose You inwardly and willingly be enlisted in Your Calvary's holy army. Lord! Thank You, may you remember my family, all the favor that I need to return to them, may You return favor to them." This is enough, because loyalty cannot be pledged to both sides. Therefore it would not be easy for you to serve both the Lord and to please your parents.
B. Family members fear that you have nothing to eat and will be financially poor
We need to know that making a living is a worry of fallen man. If you would not overcome this degradation, you will surely be in the midst of worrying. Even we who have been serving the Lord for a long time, we may also be anxious when we fall into it. But Matthew 6 says, seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. What things? That are the daily necessities. This is what the Lord ordained to give those who seek Him first. You just need to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all your necessities will be added unto you. Also in James 2 it says, God's children on earth are poor materially so that they may be rich in faith. The Old Testament psalmist says, he has not yet found one who has died of hunger in Israel. Matthew 6 also says, the birds in heaven do not sow, reap, nor gather into barns, yet God nourishes them. The lilies of the fields are here today and gone tomorrow but God gives them clothing that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one. Therefore, whether eating or clothing, from the most freezing place to the hottest place, the Lord will personally take care.
C. Family members feel ashamed when neighbors and relatives know about it
You need to know, the enemy attacks a few matters: First, preaching the gospel. When people preach the gospel, they feel ashamed. Therefore, Paul advised us not to be ashamed of the gospel. Second, full-time serving the Lord. The enemy has deceived many people, even certain Christians, to consider full-time serving the Lord as people without a proper profession or unemployed. Some brothers and sisters do not allow their children to come out, the main reason is fearing they will suffer too much. Those who are long in the church have seen the Lord's workers in poverty and hardship, that is why they are very touched when someone's child serves the Lord but to think that their child will serve the Lord would frighten them. You need to know, this is the enemy's attack. The enemy causes the propagation and gospel of the Lord's testimony to be weakened, causing those who serve to be despised to the uttermost. Therefore Paul says we are those who in the eyes of men have become as the offscouring of the world, the scum of all things. We have been ordained as an offering, condemned criminals cast to the wild beast in the amphitheater. That is why to serve the Lord, or to join the training, you need to know that not many people will agree. You just need to follow the ministry, just look to the flow of the Spirit, learn not to look at the environment, not to look at the color of the people's faces. They love you deep within, but are always blinded by the enemy.
D. Parents feel that the Lord Jesus has taken away their child
Every son and daughter who hears this will feel sorrowful. Family members will, after using the hard way, use the soft way; after scolding, begin to use tears, saying you no longer want your parents, you are now flying away after growing enough feathers. On one hand, parents love you, you need to touch their love in the midst of their angry words. Do not be angry, not even condemn. No matter how many reasons you have, parents are your earthly authority. Just be silent. In the four gospels, everytime the Lord Jesus spoke of people following Him, He always mentions about denying the self and carrying your cross to follow the Lord. How to carry? Leave your parents, wife, children, house, fields. Loving parents more than the Lord is not worthy to be the Lord's disciple. Everyone should force themselves to enter in and beseech the Lord saying, "Lord! I will serve only You."
The full-time training is hated by the enemy, do not expect to enter in smoothly. Our faith needs to be tested. The four gospels firstly says we must leave all things to follow the Lord. It is only until in the epistles that we are instructed to look back and take care of the family members. If you have never left them, then you will not know how to truly care for your family members. Leave what? Leave the family members' expectations on you and the emotional ties between them and you. Not that you do not care for them, but you have left the family members' expectations on you and the emotional cords they have toward you. These are what people today cannot leave. That is why the Lord says you need to hate, hate the cord that causes you to be tied up with care for your parents and not be able to care for the Lord's interests.
In short, our faith needs to pass through trials. Therefore, when you have the desire to come out, you need to have enough prayers within to strengthen your faith toward the Lord and to prepare your faith to pass through trials for it to be manifested precious. Difficulties such as the cords of family members is a trial to the faith.
