My Plans for Education as President

Education should always be our number one priority as a nation. We should do all that we can to see that our young people receive the best possible education we can provide them with. As President, I would give back control of the schools to the governors of the fifty states, who would then either keep educational control at the state level or then hand it back down to the city/county level, or even directly to the principles. As a nation, we should find ways to encourage high school seniors to continue their education by awarding scholarships to the top fifteen of a graduating class, to those who plan to pursue educational careers and to those planning on making a career of being an engineer, and as mentioned before, those paying for their own college education, or that of somebody else, would receive tax breaks to make continued education more affordable. Teachers, elementary and secondary, should be tested on a yearly or biyearly basis to make sure that they are knowledgeable in what they are teaching, again, so that our young people may receive the best possible education. Also, so that our children do not need to attend school in fear, there should be at least one armed guard at all schools, although the larger schools would be able to have more.
