Gerstadt RP Materials
Anyone who has ever been in a serious roleplay environment knows that the little details are as important as the plot, so without further delay, here are the unusual materials found in the Gerstadt Enviroment
Rochan Crystal
Many have marveled at the appearance of the building that is the seat of the Gerstadt governmental body, it is a prime example of what marvels in construction can be done with this beautiful crystal. Not only does it protect the most important building in the Gerstadt nation it also is a show of what can be achieved by those willing to go beyond what is accepted as the normal.
- While Rochan is extremely rare world wide, it is a fairly common thing in Gerstadt.
- Rochan crystal due to its advantageous properties is strictly regulated in Gerstadt, the mines are heavily guarded, and it's location an extremely well hidden secret.
- Rochan crystal is known to have a tensile strength similar to platinum and or titanium depending on the purity.
- Rochan crystal much like quartz seems to keep its own rhythmic electrical field, research has yet to yield an answer for this since by all means it should not do such, but as a timing material for chronometers and other advanced devices it is ideally suited.
- When carved into flat panels Rochan crystal has been known to stop the average naval shaped cannon shot with only minor at best cracking (assuming this was at point blank.)
-Rochan when Melted down and reformed to whatever shape desired gains the capacity to halt magics from either side or direction, unless the caster has gotten him or herself in alignment with the crystal's resonance (few know how to do this, often it is preset by the owner of the building or object).
-Through testing, it has been found that Rochan can in fact be made to be as clear as glass with magic before the melting process, after which, it still gains it's anti-magical properties.
-As a general rule of thumb for each fourth of an inch of this material negates one preparation in a given spell, i.e. a three foot wall layer of Rochan could stop a 12 prep spell cold. Trying to cast around the wall is an option but often, in the case of vital buildings, they are full enclosures, even below ground, and in such massive Rochan concentrations even the local region has the effect.

Rama Diamond
Native to Kasuria the Rama tree is in fact the source of this material, believe it or not these massive trees when they do finally die of old age leave behind their sap cores in their rooting region, the sap itself hardening to a amber-like material with some extremely impressive qualities, the mining of these things is an interesting business as the sap cores can be massive, and thus extremely large amounts of filler material must be put in the void left by a removed core.
-Rama diamonds while not actually diamonds are tough with a tensile strength akin to high quality steel.
-When shaped into cutting implements the Rama stone's edge is well known for mono-level sharpness, of course few facilities in Gerstadt can actually cut that closely, and as such special hanging sheathes are needed just to contain such weapons.
-Rama is inherently magical to a degree however it has been well observed these weapons do cut through magical fields and effects for some reason, research has yet to yield any sort of answer.

Citadel Steel
C-Steel is an industrial product of Gerstadt only, it's a carbon blackened form of steel used in constructions or products that require a material above par, with high resistance to heat, warping, bending and of course weather extremes. This material is the construction standard for support beams and frames across Gerstadt as well as a component in airship construction.
- While not always carbon blackened, this material is known for always being warm to the touch.
- Standard C-steel is used in cannon production, especially in the Vaunted AEGIS Guns.

Rhyolite (stone)
Rhyolite is for all intents and purposes the byproduct of the constant volcanic upheaval in the burning islands, the stone itself is dark with remarkable granite-like qualities but has a low sparkle and self-luminescence,  often large chunks of this material are reprocessed into the massive shaped blocks used to make fortifications, while truly raw but smaller pieces are cut into the remarkably beautiful black stone known as Bathra, which unlike Rhyolite is known for use in smaller applications like homes stoves and general commercial applications.
- Often Rhyolite is reformed into massive mortar blocks for express use in large structures or fortifications.
- Rhyolite is known to be heavily impact resistant; testing has proven blocks only a foot thick can withstand hits from cannon shot in the 68 pound range at near point blank, making it absolutely ideal for walling.
-Bathra stone, is a finer quality material, used in statues, tiling and fine crafts while it displays the same damage resistance as Rhyolite it is a noticeably lighter material.
-Bathra due to its light but protective qualities has found a military niche as a container for shipping volatile munitions and chemicals.
-In the labs Bathra stone vials, beakers and, other items have gained popularity as non reactive substances.
All materials listed on this page were concepted and outlined by SMG himself, except Bathra stone which was Rynata's great idea and The Rama Diamonds, aka Rainbow Diamonds, which was purely a concept of the talented Ginblossom Herself
Thank you Rynata and Ginblossom.
