Short History
Garrek was beleive it or not of Tragos-alpha's Legacy project, the attempt to create perfected mechanical life that paralelled with the evolution of the organic life so ambient in the universe, of course garrek 'evolved' over the course of several centuries, most of which he has no real gauge of time for since with each stage his old memeories were either lost or replaced, with new learning systems and such, as it were garrek in his near present form was activated several millenia after the renesance/dark/medieval periods respectively. As it turned out garrek found a strange world filled with constant imperfections, hypocrisy, other things that defied the tenets of base logic, not that it mattered garrek did have his mission, to blend in that is and occasionally run missions to puta halt to those whow ould seek to cause more suffering, and as time passed garrek found himself thinking and acting more like the locals, the changes weren't obvious at first, but in time they became very much clear. The most important two events occured in garrek's life then, his chance meeting with a healer by the name of Steelheart, and his meeting with evil itself in the form of a man we would know today as Seth S. Revil. Months passed with skirmishes against hte minions of this man while garrek found himself feeling complex emotions he could not understand every time he was around steelheart, it was a constant trip across a minefeild. Things changed dramatically with the death of tragos after a sudden bombing raid by seths forces critically wounded the enigmatic living automoton, and left garrek truely alone as the majority of tragos's creations gave up the will to function and shut down for good at the same time... it was almost as if tragos animated them by unseen will. Garrek did greive of course what else could he do not that it lasted... as he took his greivences and joind the fight against Seth's ex Employer, the Primus, and in due order with the united front the allies secured victory, in the darkest hour against the forces that called themselves the masterminds...
One other thing did result from this war or technology however.... Steelheart became more then another ally she became garreks...adoptive sister..though of course that only made somethings more complex..but that is another story in a peice of history.
