FSUN-DECC scholar Luigi Fernandez breaks in as a professional “Anime” t-shirt painter! WOW! That’s different! That’s Filipino! Very creative and innovative! “THE PROUD FILIPINO!”

While he knows that to become a well-known “oil painter” needs to go a long, long way, he breaks his path to the new fad and earns his daily living to become an “Anime” t-shirt painter. At present, there are over 40 barkadas working on this, filling their orders locally and internationally exporting to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and even America.

“PAPITIK-PITIK lang ang work,” he said. He also trains people who are interested to earn and learn; the difference is, earning a living while learning the job you “LOVE”!

“The Filipino is unique, very creative and is always finding a way to earn a living,” said Mr. Sanghyun Lee of Seoul, Korea.

At present, Luigi Fernandez is also an FSUN-DECC scholar, which granted to him last year. “The progress in learning basic computer will be a long-term need.” I need to learn the things that are basic, to prepare myself for a more challenging world, there’s no certainty in future, anything I learn today may benefit me tomorrow. FSUN gives me a chance to learn these computer courses, why not, it’s “FREE,” its scholarship. I just need to spend one hour a day and the rest will follow,” he said.
FSUN-DECC is free of charge scholarship, learning computer while at work or during spare time. It is a six-month basic computer course tutorial and a self-study program. A total of seven hundred four (704) students were benefited from FSUN-DECC Scholarship Program as of December 2002. Some of these scholars were recommended to work in local companies, in USA and Japan to practice their profession.

The Foundation for the Support of the United Nations (FSUN) would like to invite interested students or out-of-school youths or those people who may not be able to enroll this school year, employees of government or private companies to apply for the FSUN Distance Education on Computer Courses (DECC) to learn, be updated and acquire knowledge in computer or as a continuity self improvement program.

The program is a self-study tutorial via Internet or disks provided by Net-AOL, an American based dotcom company. At the end of the course, students would be enabled to learn on how to make a website.

To be qualified, applicants must be computer literate (basic); minimum of high school level; self-determined; self-motivated and should include referral/endorsement in the application form.

Application form could be requested through Tel. 8127733 or email [email protected] or visit FSUN office at 19th Floor, Cityland 10, Tower 1, H. V. dela Costa St., cor. Ayala Avenue, Salcedo Village, Makati City.
