Short Briefing of 10-15-03 Meeting held at Song Ki's house. Reported by Anna.
1) Camping Trip -
Place? Indian Reservation, Wakulla Springs? Maybe even further out? I was speaking to Alan this morning in the union and he was telling me about some camping spot his friend knows thats about 30 minutes from here and it might be perfect for our group. I suggest inquiring further, he was in a hurry.
We need: 1) tents: Two 16 man tents, sleeping bags, etc. Not many people will be sleeping anyways.. bonfire ^^, 2) food, 3) transportation.
We're planning on charging somewhere between $5 - 10 for one night. We'll need to consider paying for food, tents, site? (depending on if it's discounted or not).
We need to find out what kind of availability there is on a friday or saturday night at the reservation.
** Keep in mind~ It'll be November, it WILL be COLD! & BYOB.
We also need to make sure this doesn't conflict with any of the FSU games... check football schedule!
We're shooting for the 21st of November. It's probably going to be the most convenient weekend... (what happens if we can't get the site on the 21st?)
We need to send these emails out by next wednesday.
2) Logo and Banner for KUSA
Planning on in the next group meeting to take in idividual entries, basically a contest with prizes.. what kind of prizes? i.e. gift certificates?
3) Next officer's meeting = Next Wednesday @ 9pm 10/22
4) General Meeting 10/30 @ 8pm
Paul: think of something cheesy for an ice breaker ^^
General Meeting should be on a tuesday night though.. 10/28 or 10/30?? and we also need to reserve a place in the union/SLB/internation center to keep our meeting.
And do we want to start collection the $5 at the meeting? We may need 2 general meetings to collect money.
We need to set a date and time officially before sending out any emails.

6) Do we want to help out ASU with the homecoming float?
7) For next semester - springs budget request due the 21st, next Wed. We basically have no funding for this semester.
8) Dduk-guk night - we need to get a sponser.. Ask mr. Chow from Osaka? Lucy Ho's and or Mori's.
9) Try sitting at the ASU tables on wednesday to collect the $5 and if you have any spare time on your hands. It'll be the only way to get "us" out.
10) Student Allocations commitee is now accepting budget requests for spring 2004. Formal budget hearings for the spring allocations are on wed. november 5th. Completed Budget Request Packets are due no later than 4:30 pm, Friday October 31st, 2003 to the SA&O Accounting Office (A209) Dates for the budget hearings are Wed 11/5 2.30-6.30 and 7.00-9.00 in the Union 311A. Organizations must be registered and have a hearing and receive funding.
