--------------------------------------------------------
You are the Captain of the Atari Flagship (2600). You are fighting for market
dominance against the worst enemies imaginable...Competing Consoles

Many strange creatures want to blow you out of the night sky. K.C Munchkin, The Lock n Chase
Thief, even the little man from the Odyssey 2 system is running after you. Shoot them before they
   shoot you.

I reccomend game 15, it allows you to move vertically and Horizontally and the target move as well.

Some of the other bad guys are a little harder to recognize. They are (supposed to look like) the Rat
from Intellivision's Dungeons and Dragons that was always stealing my arrow (I hate that guy). One of
the robots from Night Stalker (Worst Inty game ever made), One of the fielders from Inty Baseball
and TRON's Solar Sailor (never figured that game out). Don't let the Intellivision or Odyssey 2 take
   over.

I originally intended to have the player represented by Yar but I could not get more than six pixels in
height and I can't get that damn flashing to stop so (for now) it's a space ship that is supposed to look
like an Atari logo on it's side (rainbow colors and all).

Console Wars is a single player, full color, action game
designed to be played on the ATARI(r) Video Computer System(tm) or
the Sears Tele-Game(tm).

You are at the controls of Atari flagship 2600
Attack cruiser, which appears on the left side of the screen. A variety
of enemy weapons and obstacles appear on the right and move toward your
space ship. These include various characters from other classic gaming systems
which all fire at you. Additionally, they are capable of destroying your Attack
cruiser upon impact.

Your objective is to shoot down as many of the enemy objects
as possible, scoring as many points as possible, while at the same
time avoiding enemy fire.

Initially you have a fleet of four space cruisers available to
you. For each 1,000 points you can score, an additional cruiser will be
available to you.

Instructions:

   the manufacturer's instructions.

DOWN for less frequent enemy shot.
6. Select the game of your choice. Continuous activations of the
SELECT switch will cycle the unit through the 16 possible game
variations of increasing difficulty. See the chart.

oriented to the upper left hand corner of the Joystick.
8. Your accumulating score will appear at all times at the top of the
   screen.
9. Points are scored as follows:

ODYSSEY2 Man 100 points (Bullets often pass right through him)
   K.C. Munchkin 50 points
Lock 'N' chase theif 45 points (I never liked this game but at least he is colorful)
Adv. D&D Rat 100 points (I lost so many arrow to that rat in my youth)
   INTV baseball player 75 points
TRON's Solar Sailer 20 points (couldn't think of anything else to use)
Night Stalker Robot 20 points ( ditto )

I tried very hard to come up with easy to recognize characters from other systems to pit
against the "Atari". Outside of the Odyssey2 and Intellivision I really didn't find
any characters I thought would be immediatly recognized and associated with a aprticular
system. Even then most of the intellivision characters are the same running man. Since
I chose the Odyssey man I sort of balked at two running men. Also, I had to make the
work using constaints in height and motion that are a part of the program.
