Michael Xavier Lundy
Michael began his music training in classical piano at the age of ten. In junior high school he was school organist, chorus accompanist and organist for a local veterans hospital chapel.  After entering Wilmingtons Dickinson High School in 1998, he also studied classical organ under two noted Wilmington organ teachers.  After being exposed to the Dickinsons famous Kimball Theatre Pipe Organ, he was inspired to teach himself to play the theatre organ.  While at Dickinson he was accompanist for the Choral Music Department and the pianist for the schools Jazz and Concert Bands.  During this period he was also Director of Music and Organist for the United Methodist Church in Avondale, Pennsylvania.  This led to Choirmaster and Organist assignments in several area churches.

After high school graduation in 2002, Michael was appointed House Organist by the Dickinson Theatre Organ Society.  During this period he was also staff organist for the historic Broadway Theatre in Pitman, New Jersey where he played weekly and was a featured silent film accompanist until the theatres closure in 2005.  In 2004 he was asked to perform on the majestic Moller Theatre Pipe Organ in the famous Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pennsylvania.  In the fall of 2005, while majoring in Music Education at Long Island University, he accepted a position as Organist and Music Director at the Siloam Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, NY and in the winter of 2006 he became House Organist for the historic St. George Theatre on Staten Island , NY .  While in New York he was asked to perform in several notable venues such as the Riverside Church and at the Metropolitan Opera as Organist, Music Director and Choral Conductor.  Returning to the Wilmington area in the spring of 2009, Michael now serves as Minister of Music for the Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Philadelphia and he was also privileged to be the featured artist in the Dickinson Theatre Organ Societys final season program in July.
