Friends with last names of Romine, Perez, Francese, James or ending in ski. And in Arco Felice my friends Ben, Don, and Dean. Hey Mac Caruso there is a guy living in Arkansas riding a Moto Guzzi using your name. Forrest Sherman was long ago and far away. Now I live in Little Rock Arkansas working on a terminal degree at the UALR. What is this terminal degree thing anyway, no one gets out alive? For those that remember my sister Glynda Williams now an army doctor (Dr. Lucas), she could get promoted to full Colonel. 01/06 Kris Romans 1981 [email protected] Happy new year everyone!!! I have been searching for Shanna Billesbach for YEARS now. Haven't spoken to her since 1994 or 1995. If anyone ha any email address for her I would be very happy! I am married to my Greek husband, living in Corfu Greece since 1994 but married in 01, have a gorgeous 18 month old boy! Couldn't be happier. I love hearing from all who remember me and how I love to think about the old times. Those 7 years in Italy for me were the best years of my life.. 01/06 Tim Turner '73 [email protected] I was just reading the latest postings and what Erin mentioned about our education is correct. We don't mention our educational oppertunities enough, nor do we mention those great people who gave of themselves to be there to instruct us for our future endeavors. We had some fantastic teachers. I will forever remember going into Mrs. Socoloffs(sp)class and hearing Shakespeare given to us with all of her heart. She was fantastic. Mr. Thomas made Physics a class that I wanted to attend EVERY day, I didn't want to miss anything new and fascinating. And it goes on and on.Yes, I would say we got A GREAT education in Naples and in my all of my vocations (military, teacher, career counselor) I have put that education to use. I would like to say THANK YOU to all of the educators and to let you know that your efforts were not wasted. YOU DID GOOD!! 01/06 Danielle "Dani" Cox c/o 1988/stateside [email protected] Hi! Just thought I would drop a quick note... I attended NAHS 1982-85 and graduated stateside... I've been in the Central FL area for about 17 yrs now (how can that be?!?!) although, true to my brat upbringing, I tend to move every year or 2... I'm in touch with several classmates, Beverly Annanayo, Henry Velez, Tracy Moore and several others... In fact, I was happy to be able to spend Thanksgiving with Tracy's family including her mom and dad, who were like another set of parents to me... It was wonderful! And we always manage to spend a day or so just reminiscing... Its so funny to hear people talk about how they remember things... and to know that I only remember things according to where I lived at the time... like a movie or song, I'll know a time frame because I'll remember, yeah, I lived in Naples when that song was out... Anyway, have a great 2006... and, drop me a line! Ciao! Dani 01/06 Nancy (Simmons) Kelly 1975 [email protected] Kids are happily married and the grandchildren are growing like weeds. Our granddaughter will start kindergarten in the fall! Where did the years go? Barry '74 and I have been married almost 30 years. Wow! Barry is enjoying his job at the correctional facility--some of the stories he comes home with are crazy! I am still managing the flower shop (over 16 years now), but I am really getting tired of working full time. The base is downsizing in the next few years, so who knows? I may have the opportunity to do something else in the near future. On the whole, life is sweet! Hope it is the same for all of you. Buon anno a tutti!! 01/06 Mike Pisani '66(FSES'59-'60) [email protected] anyone have a yearbook for 1960? 01/06 Vic Swindall 1972 [email protected] What a wonderful site. My Family lived in Napoli from 71-75. My brothers and I have often reminised about how fortunate we were to live and learn about life during that time with such an extraordinary group of people. To see the AFSOUTH pic did bring back many memories. The pool by the "Flamingo Club" was also the training area for the AFSE Sub-Aqua Club. Scuba diving in "The Cove" gave that area a whole new perspective. I had the pleasure of returning to Naples in the 80's as I was stationed in Rota, Spain for 42 months. My brother John and his wife returned to Naples last year and I plan to do the same as soon as I can. I would love to get a current list of alumni and hear from old friends. May everyone have a wonderful upcoming year! 01/06 Douglas Bontrager 1980 [email protected] Attended FSHS '75-'76. Just stumbled across this page , wow , are the memories coming back.(somewhat clouded by sambuca). Summers playing baseball & swimming at Carney Park, the bowling alley & teen club At AFSOUTH, skipping school for self guided "Field Trips" all over Naples. Is Edenlandia still there?? Marge Prather 1977 [email protected] Just read through so many messages and am still smiling. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me and also any information on upcoming reunions in the Virginia area. Cindy M. if you get online or one of your brothers or sisters please contact me at [email protected] anyone else for that matter... Also, Cleo T..... I know that your brother Chuck comes online occasionally so please contact me...lost your address when you moved to Texas... Best of the New Year to one and all...Marge Prather Nee 01/06 Erin Nicole (Foged) Teubner 1988 erinnicolet @yahoo.com Living in Napoli has seemed to have 'altered' all of us.We can never forget, nor do we necessarily want to... could it be that we were all of tender and impressionable age, and therefore, we have become a product of our influences, especially those 'italiano'?'See Naples, and die' Ah, thoses were the days... Edenlandia, Posilipo, Ischia, K-bar, Lido parties, Carney Park, the best REAL pizza, our first coffee's, first experience with theft, first beer, first wine, first, uh, romantic contacts ... uh, right, good school, too! (Notice that no one ever recognizes the fantastic education we received during this time...?! Okay, at least fantastic educational experiences; can we now agree?) (Of course, AFSouth has a pool! I had a summer job there.) I have so wanted to make the pilgramage a Napoli, but I admit my fear of losing the memories of how things used to be, in comparison as to how they have become... Important people for me- Erik Foged (my brother, 1992), Craig Johnston, Joey Reid, Matthias Denzel, Don Johnson, Mary and Patrick Peschka, Bill Isaacs, Eric Buss, John Ceres, Kristie Oaks, Shannon Rucci, Debbie Duning, Gretchen and Hilary Hitchner, Mohawk man, Shannon Weirtz, Eugene White, and more... Maybe we can crusade there together...! I am now in Stuttgart, Germany; we could start from here! 01/06 Claudia Davenport Romeo 1973 (would have graduated) [email protected] Hi, it is nice to connect to people on Dan's site. My family lived in Naples from 1956 to 1960 and 1966 to 1971 (yes, we were so lucky). So I know what other people are talking about with NSA on Via Carravaggio and the first high school on Manzoni, near Carravaggio. My two sisters were born in the pink hospital there on Manzoni. Paul Le Bleu 1978 [email protected] Ciao a tutti! Been a long time since I've posted on these boards. Just reading through months of messages. The memories will always be. No? Great times. That overhead shot of AFSOUTH brings back big time memories. Some of which I dare not share. he he he.. Those years were great years. And to think I married a child hood friend from those times and that place. I get to see her face every day! Life is good. Best to all in this thing we call life. Ciao! 01/06 |
