Solomon's Island, Calvert County  Maryland

The Patuxent river in Calvert County seems to be where the hot fishing action takes place during the summer. With just a short mile run to the mouth of the river leads you to the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay.

You have all kinds of  fishing hot spots like The Chinese Muds and Cedar Point Rips and the LNG gas docks alongwith the Calvert Cliffs rips . Various structure and depths make up great holding areas for all kinds of species like seatrout , striped bass and flounder.

Different fishing techniques throughout the spring and summer  makes for fun fishing action!! Early in the spring trolling large bucktails with teaser rigs. Then comes summertime fury when  another popular method is to live line live baitfish and  chumming while anchored.
In the mid summer months we continue to use all combining methods.  Casting & drifiting top & bottom lures and plugs across deep holes and humps on the  rocky bottom  and shallows with a combonation of baits is resulting in Outstanding Fishing..

If you would like to take a trip and expierence some great fishing action on my new 20' center console plan your trip today !
