COMMENTS BY THE 2ND VICE PRESIDENT

MARCH 2008

After nearly 2 years, I am pleased to report that the effort to change the format for the annual Club Team Tournament has been worthwhile. The number of clubs participating has made it a huge success. I am very gratified and sincerely appreciate  the support of all the participating clubs. Those clubs who did not participate missed an opportunity for fun and prizes. I hope you will make plans now to participate next year. There is still room for improvement and there are a few ideas in the works that could make it better for the majority of our members. If you have suggestions, please let me know about them.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the State Closed Tournament in April. I urge you to make plans now to participate in as many of the events as you can. Be sure you have participated in the required 5 tournaments.

CANDIDATE FOR FSHPA 2ND VICE PRESIDENT

Once again, I, Byron S. Jarrett, declare myself a candidate for the Office of the 2nd Vice President, Florida State Horseshoe Pitchers Association, Inc. If elected, I will continue to do as much as I can to support the best interest of the majority of our members.
