COMMENTS BY THE SECOND VICE PRESIDENT
I am pleased to report the FSHPA Executive Council, in an effort to increase participation, has approved, after long deliberations, a new format for the Club Team Tournament which is held in January each year. The tournament is now a count-all tournament handicapped at 90 percent. Additional rules have been approved to make the tournament more competitive and are included elsewhere in this Newsletter. Advance copies of the rules have been e-mailed to all tournament directors or club presidents. I sincerely hope that you review the rules and plan to enter as many teams as possible from your club. If you have questions or comments concerning this tournament, please feel free to contact me.
On October 26, 2007, I participated in the On Top of the World Horseshoe Club’s first sanctioned tournament. I didn’t win, but I had a very enjoyable time at a very nice facility. Congratulations to Mike Tatonetti and all the others who organized this club.
Sincere best wishes for the coming holidays.
BYRON S. JARRETT, 2nd Vice President
