This airplane requires BAO's Flight Shop and Microsoft Flight
Simulator 5.0a or 5.1, or FS95, 98 with the appropriate converter.

This plane is based on the old BAC 1-11 afx made by Eric Johnson. Using new designing
tools relased by Kirby Kern it was possible to make it a better aircraft with a more
prototypical look and better textures and other little parts where added such as
speedbrakes above the wing and flaps.

Installation
ATTENTION: THIS PLANE IS CONVERTED FOR THE USE WITH FS98 ONLY.

Install the plane using the "Use folder names" option of Winzip.

Note: This aircraft has "night effect" passenger windows.
If you change the texture files for the fuselage, you'll
loose that effect unless you use R8 Paint or some other
program after running your textures through the Photo
        Shop.

Aircraft Data:

Engines: 2 X 12,550 lb st Rolls Royce Spey Mk 512
    Max T/O Wieght: 104,500 lbs
    Length: 107 ft 0 in
Wing span: 93 ft 6 in
    Max cruise speed: 541 mph
    Range: 2,165 miles
    Passengers: 119

This short/medium range airliner first flew in April of 1965.
Simular in size and shape to the DC-9, this aircraft enjoyed moderate
success with 230 of all versions manufactured in the U.K. with an
additional 80 manufactured in Romania as Rombac 1-11's.

I wish to thank this aircraft's test pilot, Mike Vidal out of MIA
who's created a very nice flight model without much info to guide him.
According to Mike, this plane "behaves like a DC9-14 but only slower"
The following basic performance data is from Mike.

    Takeoffs: rotate: 125 Kias
climbout: 157 Kias (with 20 degrees flap)

Landings: Approach with full flaps using about 65%N1 (fan) at 145 Kias.
When you hit the fence, cut the power and pull up the nose a
little and let her settle in. Touchdown is between 125 and 135
              Kias.

The sound and panel configurations are set to the standard Lear Jet. However, I strongly recommend that you fly the 1-11 with Paul Golding's Project Freeware BAC 1-11 panel which has been developed with extensive reference to real-world aircraft. If you use anything else, you are missing out on the full 1-11 experience!.
Simply follow the instructions contained within the panel TXT file .
I also recommend you use the BAC 1-11 sound package by Ignacio Sanguinetti and Raul A Rodriguez.
These files are available at the Project Freeware Group Website http//www.avsim.com/pfree/

Some words about Nationwide Air

Nationwide, which was founded in 1991, is one of the few privately owned and independently
operated airlines in South Africa.
Late in 1994, Nationwide started scheduled operations between Johannesburg and Cape Town
and has since expanded its network to include the coastal cities of Durban and George.
On March 28, 1997, Nationwide Air entered into a code-share agreement with SABENA.
The airline has a fleet of 11 BAC One-Eleven 400s and 500s, two recently acquired Boeing 727-100s, a
727-200 and an existing fleet of Beechcraft King Airs. Nationwide is the second-largest fleet
operator in South Africa.
