3/15/98 FS98 ATR v4.0 - autopilot help file

This text will explain the functions of the new Autopilot gauge.

First let me Thank Ernie Kennedy, if it was not for his kind
heart this gauge would not exist! thanks Ernie..

Ok here we go. The autopilot gauge is actually 2 seperate gauge
files, the top gauge being the information display and the bottom
gauge being the actual autopilot functions panel.

The Display has no hotpad or keys, all changes to the display are
done from the bottom function panel.

when you have selected a button, it will lite up white and the
display will give you the corresponding message in red.

top row:

AP - autopilot on/off
APR - Approach mode on/off
NAV - Couple to Nav 1 on/off

bottom row:

HDG - Heading on/off
BC - Backcourse on/off
ALT - Altittude Hold on/off

VS UP/DN - clicking either up or dn will change the VS when
you have the ALT hold enabled

far right top:

IAS - Indicated airspeed click on button to turn on, click on
left arrow next to button to decrease, right arrow to
       increase

blank - Nothing

Bottom - this button only serves to change the Altitude hold setting
click on the left arrow to decrease, the right arrow to
         increase.

Hope you enjoy this! I do... :-)

David
