Gentlemen of the Year Award Recognition Ceremony
On April 19, 2006, WE hosted our first annual Gentlemen of the Year Award Recognition Ceremony.  WE started this Award in order to recognize the nominated gentlemen for their support of gender equality, women�s rights, and the idea of women�s empowerment within the Framingham State College community.

The recipients of this year�s awards were:

Professor Joe D�Andrea

�He should be chosen for Gentlemen of the Year because of his continual support of WE and his promotion of free thinking in the college community�- Sarah DeRosa

Professor Thomas Krainz

�He revised the course on Women in American History�and advocated for the gender studies interdepartmental concentration�- Nicholas Rachetoes

James Coelho

�James has support the idea of gender equality, women�s rights and the idea of women�s empowerment through his many actions and motions on and off Senate�- April Bonarrigo

Kevin Surprise

�Kevin believes in equal rights for everyone, everywhere and with no exceptions�- Sarah Charland

Dr. Justin Bailey

��he deserves to be a �Gentlemen of the Year� because of his intense passion, enthusiasm, and support for women�s empowerment and gender equality�- Rachel Smith

�Ever since his arrival to Framingham State College, Dr. Justin Bailey has encouraged his students and colleagues to think about women�s issues�- Paul Galvin
