About Me
I am a US citizen and a long-time resident of Guam. Most of my working life has been in the tourism industry, mainly in retail and hotel environments. I was fortunate to have worked for a couple of Chuck Feeney's companies, DFS (10 years) and Pacific Islands Club (4 years). I also enjoyed overseeing 196 retail stores for The Athlete's Foot Group, Inc. in the Asia Pacific Region, which included the countries of China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Guam, Saipan, Palau, Kuwait, Australia, and New Zealand.  While working with TAF, I participated in training over a number of months with Coca Cola at their headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, to learn more about how to capture international expansion opportunities.

I have spent approximately 20 years living in Japan,  most recently in Beppu and Tokyo while completing a PhD in Asia Pacific Studies at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. The focus of study was on Japanese overseas tourism.

I have a passion for helping businesses reach their customers via fresh ideas for marketing and training of supervisory and management personnel. I have worked as a consultant for various small and large companies, such as DFS, Onward Agana Beach Resort, Tokyo American Club, and Innova Technologies.

In addition to the above, I have had a strong interest in Track &  Field, mainly in the area of Distance Running for over the past 30 years.  In 1983, I ran the length of Japan from Kagoshima to Wakkanai in 59 days, and in 1988, completed the Olympic Marathon in Seoul.
