SPANISH MINISTRY STARTED

Over time, the city of Anaheim and specifically the communities around the church gradually began to gain a large Hispanic community.  The members of the church noticed this and expressed concern for the ability to reach out the Spanish speaking community.  Therefore, on December 12, 1979,
Jose? Gonzalez was called to be a leader of Spanish work at our church.

CHINESE MISSION GROWS


In June 1981,
William Eng was called to be associate pastor of the Chinese mission.  A year later on Halloween, October 31, 1982, William Eng was ordained as a pastor.

REVEREND NORM AYCOCK CALLED TO MUSIC MINISTRY


Recognizing the need for music ministry once again, the church set it�s sights on finding another music minister.  Thus in November, 1981,
Norm Aycock was called to be the full time Minister of Education and Music.

JOSE? GONZALEZ RESIGNS

On May 2, 1982
Jose� Gonzalez resigned his position as leader of Spanish work at the church to go to be Pastor of the Spanish Mission at the First Baptist Church of Westminster. In order to help complete his task, on May 16, 1982, he was ordained.
