| Church Leadership Group (Meets the last Sunday of every Month) The church leadership group is a group established to prepare church members to take on the call to help lead the flock. Those who join this group need to have been called by God to sign up and not of their own ambition. To truly be a leader of the church one must take the example of Jesus Christ and become a servant, willing to wash feet, and humble themselves in every situation. It is through this 12 period session that a church member must go through to become a deacon, trustee, member of the church council, worship leader, or any other leader in the church. Baptism Class This 5 session class is for any prospective member of the church is called by the Holy Spirit to be baptized then this is a class which they much go through in order to be baptized at the First Southern Baptist Church of Anaheim. This class will teach why Christians must be baptized and what it means to be a member of our church family. Bible Study (Every Sunday at 10:00 am) The Bible Study class is open to everyone and begins promptly at 10:00 am in the fellowship hall located directly behind the sanctuary. Bible study is a time of fellowship where you are free to ask every member of the group questions, express notions and opinions, and learn the true meaning in God's Word. No question is a stupid question and no notion a stupid notion because you never know where the voice of God may come from Monday Morning Prayer Group (Every Monday Morning at 9:30 am; location varies) The Monday Morning Prayer Group is a group that has met every Monday for at least the past 20 years. It is a time when people can come and share their personal prayer requests and discuss issues that they are having in their daily lives. It is very much a support group for all of us who are sinners and need to pray. Even if you think you do not know how to pray, this is a great group to learn how to speak with God and to see how God answers each and every prayer. Usually this group takes place at the Home of Mrs. Dorothy Dunn in Anaheim, California but at times it meets elsewhere such as in the church library. |
