                     Tupolev Tu-134 'Crusty'
*****************************************************************

This airplane requires BAO's Flight Shop and Microsoft Flight
Simulator 5.0a or 5.1.

Engines: 2 X 14,990 lb st Soloviev D-30 Series II
    Max T/O Wieght: 103,600 lbs
    Length: 121 ft 6.5 in
Wing span: 95 ft 2 in
    Max cruise speed: 550 mph
    Range: 1,876 miles
    Passengers: 80

First flown in 1962, the Tu-134, with over 700 built, was the
mainstay of short/medium range communist aviation for much of the 1960's,
70's & 80's. The Tu-134 is a rear engined development of the Tu-124
'Cookpot'(the prototype was designated Tu-124A). The Tu-134A was the
largest of the Tu-134's, seating up to 80 and entering service with
Aeroflot in the 1970's. This plane is in Aeroflot colors of the 70's.

I wish to thank this aircraft's test pilot, Mike Vidal out of MIA
who's created a very nice flight model without much info to guide him.
According to Mike, because of this planes 1 degree of wing anhedral the
roll response of this aircraft is very crisp and it's a bit more unstable
in the roll axis as compared to a western jet of comperable size.

    Takeoffs: rotate: 135 Kias

Landings: Approach with full flaps at 145 to 150 Kias. Because of the
anhedral, the approach angle is very flat, making runway
visibility excellent. When you hit the fence, cut the power
and pull up the nose gently little and let her settle in.
              Touchdown is at 120 Kias.

Installation:
copy tu134a.af? to your /textures directory
copy tu134a.air to your /pilots directory

tu134a.afx is included if you want to modify the plane yourself
tu134pcx.zip contains the .PCX files for textures.

This is FREEWARE. So don't make any money with this. All I ask
is that this archive is kept intact when uploading to other
services. If you modify the .AFX file and re-upload it, please give
me credit for the original model.

All data and measurements are from Jane's books that I have.

If you download this plane and like it, E-Mail me and let
me know. Encouragement will make me do more!

    Have fun!
