The SBHS Classes of '77 and '79 Reunion was held on Saturday, November 6, 1999 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel at Kennedy Airport, from 7:00PM until the wee hours of the morning. Nobody wanted to go home and everyone is asking when the next reunion will be!
Not only did members of the Classes of '77 and '79 attend, but representatives from just about every class from '74 through '81 joined in the fun. Without question, the highlight of the evening was the performance of Hollywood, the Sheepshead Bay band from the mid 70's, as they held their own reunion and provided entertainment and nostalgia second to none! Hollywood Alumni Rob Barbiero, Scott Bellows, Mark Gianchetti, Joe Iaquinto & Seth Rosenberg, along with professional drummer Jeff Ganz, brought back memories of days long since past with music from our more youthful years. Special thanks go to our DJ's, Twinsation Entertainment, for providing period music and the sound system for our live entertainment. It was a night to remember which would have only been enhanced by those who could not attend. The Ramada staff provided a wonderful setting for this event and deserve our compliments. My special thanks go out to the following people, without whose tireless efforts this reunion would not have been possible: Mona Alboher Garguilo, Rob Barbiero, Beth Klein, Bonnie Stern Leff, and especially, my wife, Elane Sommer, for putting up with me for the last 14 months while planning this thing!

I hope we don't wait another 11 years for the next reunion!!!
