It all started one afternoon in 1999. Orion, Colin and I were loungin' around my house and we thought it would be cool to start a punk rock band. We first thought of the name "Not quite straight edge," but that was later thrown out for the name "The Homebrews." We all liked that name because we like to drink beer, and my dad used to make homebrewed beer; so whenever we needed some juice to get us loose, we'd dip into that magical liquid. Anyway, we started to get good, (upon the arrival of bass player Chris) played some shows, girls yelled our names and we all felt good. Some of us even got girlfriends. We had great times. For example, one time everyone left at a party before we even played, so we had a drunk friend sing backup for us and he fucked it all up, but it was still super fun.
