Apple is the most common fruit since ancient times. Try asking anyone, chances are, they had tasted apples at least once in their life time.

Almost all of the cultivated apples today are derived from the wild apples, which are still found in their wild forms, in Central Asia. The number of cultivars is simply mind-blogging, as it may run into ten of thousands but it is only several of them dominate the domestic market.
A Red Star is born
This apple which they named it 'Red Star', is a relatively new cultivar from China. On which star it belongs to, I am clueless too as nothing much was written about this star.  

Yellowish green background with red stripes. Creamy with a sweet and sour flavour.
