Apologies for the length of this readme, there are lots of options to describe...

Expanding the zip should create a new Figures folder called 'Streetscene' which will contain
four characters, these are :-

1) Railing........expect to use this one most
   Railings can aligned in a 'daisy chain' to make long fences.

2) Pillar.........for finishing off a line of railings, also to close the small gate against.

3) Small_Gate.....an opening gate, suitable for pedestrians. The latch rotates to open, and there
   is a matching fixed catch which should embed itself into the next post in line.

4) Large_gate.....one half of a pair of larger opening gates, suitable for vehicles. Use two together
   and rotate one of them 180 degress to make the pair. Use the 'reverse Z' morphs on one of the
   pair of gates, and its vertical latch, to move the locking parts to the other face of the gate.

   There is a sliding latch (with morph target) which can be used to lock the gates. Select
   one of these latches, and use properties to make it invisible.
   There is a second latch at ground level (again with morph target) which can be used to pin the
   gates open or closed. The latches have loops through which a padlock and chain could be fitted
   (not supplied).

The railing and post don't really need to be characters, but having everything in one menu
is handy when fence building.

All of the above are variations on a single geometry file, and use a common template map:-)

Tips for use..

Experiment with the morphs on the railings and gates, there are several.
Make the ball on top of the pillar invisible for a less ornate effect.
Use both +ve and -ve curve on railings & gates for different effects.
The bases of the railings and pillar can be made invisible using properties, lower the base of
the railings to ground level.
Alternative texture maps could be made for stone pillars etc. In a texture map all railings
and gates will have the top points level, this makes it much easier to create a texture map.
(if you do make any texture maps please share them :-))

Just in case you are unfamiliar with multiple characters in one scene. 
Use the 'double tick' to add rather than replace a character. 
Move each item as you add it from the menu, it can get confusing if they overlap too well.
Use the menu (underneath the view window) to select parts if you have trouble picking with
the mouse.
