Readme file for dress #1 by Ian Porter.

First let me say that this is the first item of clothing, conforming or otherwise, that I have made. It isn't perfect, but then neither am I :).

This model and its textures may be copied, but must not be sold, or included in any collection which is sold, without the authors permission. You may use this model freely in any non commercial work. If you wish to use this model in any commerial work please contact the author.

The dress has eight materials, these are:-

1 hip hip of the dress
2 abdomen	abdomen of the dress
3 chest chest of the dress
4 chest2	planar mapped area for transmaps
5 collar	neck of the dress
6 belt the belt
7 buckle	the belt buckle
8 loops the loops of material around the belt

Three morph targets are included:-

The 'no-belt' morph on the abdomen, set at about 1.0 will shrink the belt inside the P4 womans abdomen leaving no trace on the dress. This allows the dress to be used without the belt.

The 'tuck' morph on the abdomen will shrink the belt as above, and will also pull in the waist. This allows the upper part of the dress to be used as a top with the P4 slacks or jeans. If you're going to do this make the hip of the dress invisible, by selecting the hip and using the object/properties on the menu, and unchecking visible.

The 'length' morph on the hip will adjust the hemline of the dress.

The dress has a cylindrical mapping, except for the upper chest, which is planar mapped. This is a combination which I think provides a good compromise between full planar mapping, which is easiest for making transmaps, and full cylindrical mapping which creates minimum pattern distortion.

Cheers
