Unfortunately, Adobe Photoshop (the software Steve and I use to view digital pictures -- I couldn't recommend it enough) pixelizes dark areas for less memory usage.  On Steve's camera display, this is as smokey and translucent as the lighter colored haze that Adobe left alone.  Here, Joel and J-Thorn are walking down the road back to the car.  Of course we didn't see this six-foot pillar of fog: we would have taken the long route back!  There's also an "orb," as it referred to on professional and sponsored sites (such as ArtBell.com) seemingly directly in front of J-Thorn.  The moon was never this low, as you can see in other pics such as dragon and orb.
