| Though it isn't about this abandoned school on Frozen Creek, my friend and Frozen frequenter, Corey Williams, has informed me of the home county's own account of the devastating disaster of July 4th and 5th, 1939. At the top of this informative page is also the news story from the state's top paper at the time, the Louisville Courier-Journal. To quote Vancleve (Frozen Creek area) native and resident, Dalpha Armstrong, who I called for an interview, "it was a real sad time for Frozen. A lot of the old folks still talk about it." |
