The Journal of a Travelling Bard
Hello! I am a half elf bard and I hail from the beatiful city of Kelethin. I have much to tell you of my travels in the vast and mystical land of Norrath, and I hope you will enjoy my story.
I started my life up in the trees of Greater Faydark, in the city of Kelethin. As I grew older, I began to think about how I would spend my life, and realized the only way for me was the way of a bard. One fateful day, I made my way to the Songweavers guild of Kelethin, and was sent on my journey with nothing but a tunic and a sword. Of course, my mentor Kinluas was always around to help me when I was in trouble, and due to gracious help from him and others I was soon fully clad in leather armor with three wonderful weapons and a shield. In the early days, I wandered about in the forest, killing (or attempting to kill) bats, giant wasps, spiders, and other such creatures. as I approached my fifth season, I decided to join the great fight against the Orc legions of Crushbone. I made my way to Orc Hill, and began forming groups with other young warriors (and magicians, and wizards, and rangers, and rougues, and enchanters, and.... well you get the idea) to fight the vicious creatures. I continued in this fashion, and one day when I was around the eighth season, a group member said some daring words: let's go to Crushbone.
Now one thing to realize is that I had never before seen any place besides the forest, and this new place was quite a shock to me! We made our way inside, and I was instantly struck by the awe and wonder of this place. Yes, there were still just orcs around, and in retrospect it was nothing compared to what I've seen now, but back then it was amazing! There were pawns, centurions, legionnares, slavers, and so much more! I even heard tales of such incredible and legendary beings such as Emperor Crush, Ambassador D'Vinn, and Retlon Brenclog. Or rather, I experienced Retlon first-hand. Ahhh, those were the days... Anyway, I fought in Crushbone until i reached the 10th season, and then I made the first incredible journey of my life.
Now, unlike most casters, bards get one song every season (regular casters get many spells, but only every 4 or 5 seasons). And unfortunately for bards, their songs are scattered all over the world. So seasons 10 to 14 found me running all about the world seeking a new song(and a new city) each season. At 10, I ran to the port of Faydwer, bypassing such places as Kaladim and Felwithe. From there, I took my first boat ride ever, and it was wonderful! Of course, boat rides in the future were much less so. I arrived in Freeport, and hunted giant spiders and young kodiak bears in the Western Commonlands. At 11, I went back to Kelethin, and hunted in Crushbone again. At 12, I returned to Freeport, and fought crocodiles and Deathfist orcs in the Oasis of Marr. At 13, I left Freeport and headed across the continent to Qeynos, through Highpass Hold, Kithicor Forest, and The Karanas. Once at Qeynos, I fought in the tunnels of Blackburrow. In there, I found Sabertooth Gnolls (more disgusting creatures). At 14, I took a boat once again to Erudin, and bought my 14th song from some arrogant people who really didn't like me. At 15, I found that it was neccessary to travel all the way back to Kelethin.
I once again tried my skills in Crushbone, and found the place much less threatening than before. I was defeating legionairres by myself, which could before be taken on only by a full group, and even then they were still a risk. I decided to find more people at my level of skill. These people all wanted to go to the Throne Room, and I was quite happy with that. No, it wasn't the throne room where Emperor Crush resided, but one with some slightly less threatening royal guards and Emissaries. We also saw Lord Darish a few times, and once we were even lucky enough to kill the Emperor himself! It was in there that I reached the 16th season, and realized unhappily that my favorite old hunting grounds were no longer challenging enough. I faced a string of songs that were quite readily available in the nearby areas, so I was able to stay in one place for a while. That place was The Estate of Unrest.
The Estate of Unrest was seen by me as this horrible place where undead zombies and skeletons liv- err, were. I was right, but it proved quite a bit less horrible than I expected. I fought beetles, skeletons, tormented dead, and Jack o lantern scarecrows. For some reason, I found myself gaining much experience from the things, and quickly rose to season 17, and then 18 and 19. I fell into a bit of a gap there, where I was too big for the little creatures and too small for the big ones, so I headed over to High Keep. I tried my luck there, but it didn't work out well, so I headed back again to the Oasis. One wonderful day, I made it to the 20th season and took the surname Allinaire. Unfortunately, Kinluas's guild was not doing so well, so I began to search for one on my own.

I continued to fight in Oasis until I reached my 21st season. I have been told of wonderful stories of succes from the land of Kunark, but did not feel courageous enough to venture there yet. I decided to head back to High Keep, and found it much more suitable now. By then I had found my place in the Tutela Conventus guild, and the people there have proven to be quite hospitable. I think I have finally found my place! In High Keep, I went into what would seem to be the basement of this huge indoor town, and fought the goblins that seemed to be plaguing the city's inhabitants. There i reached the 22nd season, and began a new chapter (OK just a new page) of my life.
