The Intercooler Installation

Dont think this is an easy job! THe intercooler kit might say "Straight bolt on replacement" But this will turn into a very frustrating time!! Taking the front bar off and intercooler was the hardest thing to do!! mounted by about 30 bolts! To get the front bar off we had to remove the standard intercooler (which didnt worry us) and disconnect and remove the washer bottle. Here are some pics to show how it was all done.

Cutting the front intrusion bar was a must when trying to fit the intercooler in. Only about 1-2 inches was taken out.

Connecting all the pipes was made easy because all the pipes fitted a 180sx, so it was a straight bolt on.

The standard piping from the turbo was still used and only need one hose to connect to the new intercooler piping.

With the intercooler now all in, it was just a matter of fitting the front bar

With the front bar on, it was starting to look more aggressive. The intercooler was a nice fit taking up all the gap in the front bar.
