MINNEAPOLIS - In both of the Twin Cities papers on Thursday an ad from Corey Koskie appeared to the fans. A thank you letter from Koskie to the fans.

Dang Koskie, you make it very hard to let go with a nice thank you letter like that. Thank you Corey Koskie, your glove was underappreciated around the rest of the league, it will be missed here. Your bat will also be missed. Thank you Koskie. And good luck in Toronto. This has to be one of the classiest things I have seen. Has the Toronto papers been contacted? If not, I might try to email them, to write something about this.

Pierzynski signs with Sox

CHICAGO - The White Sox agreed with A.J. Pierzynski on Thursday to a 1 year $2.25 million deal. This might be one of the more interesting twist to the offseason. My worries don't lie with Pierzynski, I know where he sits with the Twins and the organization. He is a White Sox now and will want to help them win, no bitterness or anything against the Twins.

The White Sox, and/or their fans have had trouble forgetting what happened the past few years. Mostly what was said or what they read in a paper. These fans and players take what is written in the papers like they are getting the bible read directly from God.

Than they hold on to it, they remember exactly what was said, they cant put it behind them. Will the players be able to get over what was said a few years ago? Will the fans be able to accept him as one of their players? If the players can get over what happened in the past they might have a good chance to win the division. If not, they will stay where they are comfortable, second place.

I would like to take this time to thank all the Minnesota Twins fans for their cheers and support for myself and my family over the past six years. The decision to leave the comfort of a community that we love and cherish so much and an organization that we have been a part of for 11 years was the hardest decision our family has ever had to make. Sometimes God closes windows to open doors. I am excited about the opportunity to play for a team I grew up watching.

I would also like to thank Carl Pohlad, the Pohlad family, Terry Ryan and the whole Twins organization for giving me the opportunity to play the game that I love and to be part of something very special.

To all the Minnesota Twins employees (full time and part time), I have seen the long hours you put in day in and day out during the seasons and off-seasons. Your tireless effort has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for all the help you have given me.

And finally I would like to say thank you to my managers (TK and Gardy), coaches, medical staff, training staff and teammates. You have been very helpful and supportive of me throughout my career in Minnesota and for that I am forever grateful.

Remember Twins fans, you put the Minnesota twins back on the baseball map! This is a great organization so keep cheering and waving that homer hanky.

I hope you have a blessed and prosperous new year. I'm going to miss you all.

God Bless,

Corey Koskie
