Left side of the infield = Questions, more than Cuddyer

From the Seats, December 18, 2004

MINNEAPOLIS - I have been caught up in Michael Cuddyer and hopping he doesn't end up starting at third base thinking that would be a mistake to do. The truth about that is Cuddyer has played third and was able to get the job done there. He is not my number one choice there, not even my second. But he is capable of fielding at third, not as good as the Canadian we just lost, but not bad.

The real question for the left side has to be with shortstop. Castro? Punto? Ojeda? Non of which measure up to what Guzman was defensively. And than putting someone like Castro next to Cuddyer, what does that give us defensively on the left side?

Even though Rivas has been criticized by Gardy and Company right now it appears he will be back at second.

Even without all the answers, the Twins look to be in pretty good shape, especially when you match them up against the rest of the Central.

Randy Johnson goes to the Evil Empire

NEW YORK - It appears that the Yankees will be involved in a 3 team trade to land Randy Johnson. This makes for a new Yankee rotation and a pissed off rest of the baseball world. I guess that should give the rest of the AL enough umph to go out there kick there butt.
