Koskie wants no-trade clause

From the Seats, December 10, 2004

MINNEAPOLIS - Corey Koskie has said he will take less to stay in Minnesota if he can get a no-trade clause in his contract. He would be looking to sign for around $9-10 million.

I say lets do it. If Koskie can keep up what he did late in the season than it is worth it. If he doesn't keep that up, well than we know what we have, and that is a very good defensive third baseman, which is key. Especially if we have Cuddyer at second and either Rivas at short or one of the new additions to the team. With Koskie would be the only veteran in the infield and might give it the stability it needs.

With all the Koskie and Radke talk it has hardly been mentioned that arbitration was offered to Terry Mulholland. To sign him up for another year would be very good for the Twins. A veteran in the bullpen or starting rotation can do nothing but help this team. He has that attitude that you want the whole team to have, he wants to pitch and never wants to give up the ball. He knows his roll and is good at it.
