Washington's new name official

From the Seats, November 23, 2004

WASHINGTON D.C. - The Expos are no more as city and team officials announced the Washington D.C. team would be named the Nationals.

The team will play at RFK stadium and tickets will range from $7 to $90 for the 2005 season.

The Nationals also reveled their new logo, a "W" on the hat and a Washington Nationals emblem. These can be found on the teams site of http://dcbaseball.com.

I am not crazy about the new name but out of a very few options I heard it was the best one I think that was on the table. The team will reveal their uniform color scheme on December 2, it will have a D.C. patch on the sleeve. The road uniform is still up for debate.

Quiet week in store for MLB?

MINNEAPOLIS - All was quiet Monday in baseball world. Very little news or rumors came about. With a slow start to the offseason it is possible that this could be a very slow week with it being Thanksgiving.

It might just be easier for teams and players to take off now and get back to the grind after the holidays. Teams that we know are in negotiations with players are very early in talks, no deals are close to be done. With this it only makes sense to deal with matters next week.
