Game 3 - Déjà Vu Continues

MINNESPOLIS - The Herman's Hermits had a song that Henry the eight said the second verse was the same as the first, he didn't say anything about the third being the same.

Yet, just like in 2003 the Twins manage to drop Game 3, in a sold out Metrodome to the Evil Empire the New York Yankees. This, the game that we were not going to lose, the game we could and were going to win.

Silva started out like he has much of the season, than we saw some of what we saw in his last start of the regular season. Could it be form being his first season as a starter? Could he be getting tired?

Or could it be that this was a game we needed to out slug the Yankees, and just couldnt do it. Whatever the case, the Twins lose Game 3 and find themselves in that dreaded must win situation, yet again.

Johan Santana will take the mound to keep the Twins season alive, keep the post season dream alive...All on 4 days rest. Some have said that 4 days of rest is not a good idea, that Santana will not be sharp.

But really, what is one day? There is no one else I would want on the mound in an elimination game. Let me say this now, win or lose tomorrow, Santana is the guy to go with.
