Dangerous Yankee Fans

NEW YORK - In a playoff game the the Yankees trailing to the Red Sox in game 6 of the ALCS there is a play where Alex Rodriguez slaps the ball out of Arroyo's glove who was trying to tag Rodriguez and was called safe. He missed the bag when running by it and knocked the ball out of Arroyo's glove and be called safe?
The world does not revolve around New York. I know that is hard to believe to some New Yorkers but it is true. Fortunately the call was reversed and the right call was made in the end.
This did not settle well with the fans in Yankee Stadium. As they felt the need to throw items onto the field. The continued this on another call to the point that the umpires needed to call out police in riot gear to guard the lines.
The Twins had a minor problem with hot dogs on a Wednesday night in 2001 when the Yankees were in town and hot dogs were thrown at Chuck Knoblauch. Why? I dont know, a few bitter fans in Minnesota made a bad decision. That doesnt really compare to what I have seen in this game.
I have never attended a game at Yankee stadium, but from what I hear and see on TV, I get the feeling that your safety could be at jeopardy if you are attending a game there. I can only imagine what people one the field would feel like with a thousands of angry people throwing items at you. I would be very scared for my safety.
Sham on you Yankee fans.
The Red Sox win game 6 and force a game 7 becoming the first team ever to come back from an 0-3 deficit to force a game 7. They need to win one more!
