NLCS - All Square

From the Seats, October 18, 2004

HOUSTON - Scoring early in the NLCS seems to be the thing not to do. The Astros took leads in the first two games that they ended up losing. In game 4 when the Cardinals put 3 runs up on the board in the first inning they end up losing the game.

It now goes to show how important the first two games of the series were for the Cardinals. Now I think the pressure goes back to the Astros, they have tied it up but they dont have their two best pitchers going again. Of course anything can happen.

Red Sox have life

BOSTON - The Red Sox went into the bottom of the 9th down by a run, looking at elimination against the Yankees, again. A lead off walk, stolen base and base hit tie it all up at 4 runs each. David Ortiz won the game in the 12th inning Monday morning with a two run home run to right field.
