Lohse wins arbitration case

From the Seats, February 12, 2005

MINNEAPOLIS - If you are a fan of Kyle Lohse, rejoice, he finely won one. Kyle Lohse won his arbitration case against the Twins and will make $2.4 million in 2005. That is an increase from $395,000 in 2004 where he put up a 9-13 record and 5.34 ERA in 35 games.

That is promotion worth? He should get a raise for that? God, baseball is a wonderful sport, great for the players. There is nothing else in life that would get someone that much money, that big of a raise for doing so little. His lifetime ERA of 4.86 isn't even that worthy of the increase that he got.

About the only thing he has going for him that can somewhat justify that kind of money is that Lohse is 26 and can pitch 180+ innings.

Kyle Lohse, prove me wrong, make me regret not liking this deal, make me think the Twins got off cheap. Show us that you deserve money like this.
