Props & Flops for ALCS Game 3, Yankees 8, Twins 4
PROPS
*Jacque Jones – Got things started off with a home run and got the Twins on the board.
*Derek Jeter – Went 3-5 with 3 RBI, did his usual clutch hitting when things mattered.
*Bernie Williams – Two run home run in the 6th put things out of reach.
*Kevin Brown – Pitched 8 innings and gave up 1 run.
*Yankees bullpen – Got the job done even though they allowed runs.
*Christian Guzman – Went 3-4 with a run scored.
*Michael Cuddyer – Another two hits tonight, he not only has a hit in every post game this year, but has a pair of hits in each game! Also drove in a run.
FLOPS
*Silva – In a key game for the Twins gave up 6 runs in 5 innings.
*Twins offense – With the exception of the home run in the first, and three pity runs in the 9th where was the offense?
*J.C. Romero – Made an excellent case of why Gardenhire could not go to Romero in Game 2, 2/3 of an inning and 1 run.
