HOT TEA RECIPE
By the cup STOVETOP Bring water to a boil using a teakettle or saucepan and then turn off the heat. Place 1 teabag in each cup. Most teabags come on a string with a little tab of paper. Allow the paper tab to hang outside of the cup. The string and paper tab are used for dipping the teabag around in the hot water causing the teabag to produce a stronger flavor. If your teabag does not have a string and paper tab just simply use a spoon to dip the teabag, but you must be careful not to tear open the teabag. Carefully pour the hot water slowly over the teabag until the cup is nearly full. Use the paper tab or a spoon to dip and stir the teabag into the water. Wait 1-5 minutes before removing the teabag depending on the strength of tea you prefer. MICROWAVE Place 1 teabag in a microwave-safe cup of water. Heat for 1-1/2 minutes or until water is hot. Carefully remove the cup from the microwave. Wait a few minutes before inserting a spoon into the cup for safety reasons! Glass cups filled with very hot water have been known to crack and cause injury. Remove the teabag after 1-5 minutes.
