Cozy's Macaroni, Cheese and Ham Recipe
When Cozy was growing up an attended public school I always asked her the same two questions everyday after school. The first question was, "How was your day today Cozy?" and the second question was, "What'd you have for lunch?" I could always tell when she had Macaroni, Cheese and Ham because she'd look up at me and grin as for me to guess. I believe she was in about 10th grade when she started trying to make it herself at home. It is still one of her favorite dishes today. I must admit she has perfected the taste over the last few years. If you like macaroni, cheese and ham, your sure to like this creamy dish. 1-pound box of elbow macaroni 1 - 12 ounce can of evaporated milk 1 medium size box of Velveeta Cheese 1-pound package of diced ham pieces (found usually in the meat dept. near the salt pork, ham hocks, smoked ham products) Prepare macaroni according to the directions on the box. Drain and set aside. In a medium size pot empty the contents of the ham pieces package and cook on medium heat until hot. Reduce the heat to low. Add the entire 1 can of milk. Cut the entire package of Velveeta cheese in small squares and add to the milk and ham mixture. Stir constantly until cheese is completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in the macaroni a little at a time so it doesnt become to dry. Mix thoroughly and serve with hot crescent rolls.
