Manifesters
Manifesters are among the rarest and most potent of the individuals possessing mystical powers. As the name suggests, they have a unique ability that lets them quickly create matter for personal use, often in the form of handheld weapons. With time, more advanced practitioners can develop enhanced, custom-made works, such as blades meant to challenge more powerful opponents. Manifesters can, additionally, summon highly durable armor. Also, when accessing their abilities, they are not known to be bound by the same minor requirements as the typical PSI user or magician, requiring neither steady concentration or incantation.

Magic Users
Unlike PSI users, magicians use incantations of varying length to summon their powers. Among these talents are long-lasting barriers or other protective spells, the power to momentarily strengthen themselves or create temporary decoys, and projecting blasts of offensive energy. Magic users can also employ the highly powerful Fate abilities.

PSI Users
In The Horsemen Saga, PSI generally remains the same recognizable ability -- a mystical power of the mind dependant on brief concentration -- but the potential of its users has been radically expanded. This includes allowing practitioners to fire blasts in greater consecutive numbers, and of course, giving them access to the Fates. The variety of PSI attacks has also grown more diverse as more practitioners have emerged. Certain advanced PSI users can also exert themselves to an Archangel-like state called Saint, giving them added power.

Archangels
Archangels are highly powerful guardians from the Heavens who generally possess might beyond that of the earthbound Chosen and Destined Ones. They employ PSI, magic, or both, as well as Fates, and are identifiable by the multiple wings that will sometimes appear when they summon their strength. While on Earth, an Archangel's purpose is typically to guard something, either from heroes or villains, usually in an isolated, widely unknown location. Few opponents can pose a serious threat to an Archangel; doing so often requires nothing short of an especially powerful Fate attack, or an extremely arduous effort.

Goddess
The rarest and most powerful rank attainable in the story. In special cases, it is possible for a Goddess to not originally be born from one, but to become such through very unique means. This involves one Archangel in each generation who possesses transferable power, and likewise, one PSI user who is capable of winning that power through battle (when not passed to a human, the power is peacefully inherited by a new celestial host). Only a female PSI user with the birthright to do so can engage the angel for possession of this prize. The birthright is indicated by a special bond between the earthbound one and the particular angel, called an alignment. When the human becomes fully aware of this bond, she may summon and challenge the divine being, at the risk of her life (the Archangel will survive regardless of the outcome).
Paula, the Chosen One of Purity, was eventually revealed to be her generation's possessor of the birthright. To help save the world, she summoned, challenged, and after a hard-fought battle, defeated the Archangel. After activating the fusion of her celestial power with the amount she already possessed, Paula was transformed from a human being into a Goddess, which expanded all of her existing abilities and gave her several new ones.
