STEP 2: TAKE ADVATAGE (NO SERIOUSLY)
It's not always wrong to take advantage of what you get. Brawl is like an entrie Museumof options. Its no wonder it took so long to make. You've got so much you can do. And believe it or not most of this is great practice! Things like coin launcher and sticker albums isn't practice but you know what I mean. Now sure you know that SSE and Classic are basic training that you can level up on. Just keep practicing on the level right for you. If your on hard just keep practicing until your ready for very hard. Taking a smooth path on the way to getting better and giving yourself a healthy challenge is great for training. Missions are the same just a little more expanse and less in some areas. Now Home Run contests just seem like a useless minigame to us all. Well that's not all that true. It tests our ability to score good, consecutive, groundbreaking combos. The higher the score the better the combo. Target tests will test your ability to persue targets and how fast you can do it. The faster the better you are at persuing your opponet. Multiman Melee just tests almost everything. It tests your ability to survive, knock out enemies, fight multiple enemies, and endurance. One last thing. Even though wifi has no leader boards it is still great for checking how good you are around the world. If your winning to most the people you play, your pretty good. If your loosing alot you need more practice. With such a variety of modes in Brawl, why wouldn't you want to take advantage?
STEP 3: RANDOMIZE AND STRATEGIZE
Hey this is kinda like a tongue twister! Randomize and Strategize! Randomize and Strategize! Randomize and Strategize! Randomize and Straterize! Darn! I hate tongue twisters. Anyway, back to the point. When you play Brawl you can't be too predictable. If you use the same pattern you'll basically get crushed. Don't let people figure you out. ESPECIALLY not friends. Somebody you end up playing multiple times can not figure out that you have a pattern. This is why you randomize. You just throw together a few random combos to keep your enemy of their feet. The unfortunate part is most people do have a pattern and just can't help it. There are two solutions to this. You can break the habit or you can make your pattern really unnoticable. I can't get really elaborate on this. It's very simple. Be random not the guy that repeats himself like a TV show. Now because both steps are simple I took the liberty of combining them. Strategize may sound like it totally goes against my most recent tip. Well if you use it correctly it may not. You see you've always gotta have a hint of strategy in your plans. Okay so you pull off the awsome combo to throw your opponet off balance. Now what? Well that is why we strategize. If you don't have any strategy then you'll probably just throw out a random move that only raises your opponets damage meter. However if you have strategy you'll most likely give a pounding smash attack to send them off the screen into the cruel world or something to that effect. Yet again I can not elaborate. Just have a small strategy to back you up when you need it. Be sure to practice these two strategies. Good luck!
STEP 4: TECHNIQUE CRITIQUE
Now just like the game modes Brawl has techniques galore! Everybody knows that if you want to become an awsome Brawler you need to take advantage of these teqniques. All of these techniques have their special place in helping kick the life out of your opponnet. I'll mention a few of them. Rolling: Boy this is a useful technique! Unfortunately many people don't use it. This is used to move behind the opponet when they attack. Then after that pull a quick one (not a fart, a combo). Swimming: This one is new. Its not much of a technique but it gives you time to recover. Be sure to pay attention to your damage meter as that hints how long you can swim. Ukemi: Ever been bounced around on the floor. This is an instant solution. Press the sheild button immediatly and that momentum will be transfered into fighting energy! Now I won't explain every skill because that takes way too long. The point is just like the characters and modes youo've got to know them all and take advantage of them all. That is a very important step to being the best brawler.
STEP 5: PRACTICE OF COURSE!
A very inportant step! The most important! Practice, Practice! PRACTICE! I can't emphasize it more.... wait yes I can.
PRACTICE!
Okay now I can't emphasize it more. You have got to practice all of the skills you learned. You also practice just to keep your skills from getting rusty. Just practice. Well there you have it. Day by day I gave you the 5 steps to becoming the best brawler. Now I'm not saying that if you read this that you'll adomaticly become the best. Of course not. However this is one big leap in the right direction. You have got to do all of this to become the best. Remember to know all the characters, take advantage of all the modes, randomize and strategize, use all of the techniques, and most importantly practice all of these. If you do this then you'll get better. That I can gaurentee.
