I have been involved with dogs my entire life, actively training and competing for over 50 years. During that time, I have trained and titled dogs in every group with the exception of terriers, and many have been rescues. I have had multiple champions, including several Bred By champions, group placements and Best in Show winners. In obedience, I've earned multiple High in Trials, titled numerous dogs to the utility level and one UDX. I have dogs with the RE title in rally, dogs titled through the Excellent level in agility, JH and SH in the field, SchIII in Schutzhund, HS in herding, TD in tracking and numerous flyball and dock diving titles. However, in 1992, I found a breed for life. When I got my first Toller, I knew there was no turning back. I continue to maintain my passion for canine versatility, and my Tollers fit the bill perfectly.
I take great pride in training and handling each of my dogs myself, and my puppy owners seem to follow the same trend. Several of our Tollers have been hunted over, NEVER having a need to be sent to professional trainers.
I'm an active member of the Dog Obedience Club of Lee County, where I currently serve as a Training Instructor. I also belong to the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club (USA) where I have previously served as Membership Chair and Regional Rescue Coordinator. |
