We were all constantly questioned about where we got them and where
could someone buy one!! MANY, MANY thanks to Sandy for all of her hard work, time and talent! The weather for 2005 was typical Kansas
extremes- it went from hot & humid, to cool & wet, and then back to hot & humid again! Thunderstorms late Wednesday/early Thursday flooded tents and created a large "lily pad pond" at our camp entrance.
Some of the outstanding memories for me were:
-great midnight fiddle jams at the "Pickers Point"
-new groups: The Waybacks, The Greencards and the David Munnelly band
-Koke brothers home-brew tasting party
-Friday night celebration & BBQ for Bill & Judy's 30th anniversary
-catching a couple of the David Munnelly band members jamming at Carp Camp
-Saturday "Best of Campground" award (the judge wanted a hat but we didn't have any more so they had to settle for a frog necklace!)
-taking our "award" picture in our pajama's cause it was so early!
The other camp awards went to:
"The Last Lone Picker" 2nd Place
"Jamakin Me Crazy" 3rd Place
