*Your goal is to create a model of a volcano and to make it erupt.

 

 

 

 

 

Product/Performance and Purpose

 

 

You will:

 

*Visit, with teacher help, the Volcano World site at http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/ to view models of volcanoes created by other students.

 

*Draw and take pictures of the model as your group builds it.

 

*Build your model volcano and make it erupt.

 

*Publish a photo and description of your volcano model on the Volcano World site.

 

 

Audience

 

*You will make your volcano erupt for the entire class.

 

*You will publish a photo and description of your volcano model on the Volcano World site.

 

 

Criteria for Success

 

*Identify and label the parts of a volcano and a drawing of the inside of a volcano.

 

*Correctly sequence the pictures about the eruption of a volcano.

 

*Explain how your volcano erupts in your journal.

 

*Conduct a successful eruption of your volcano.

 

*Contribute a photo and description of your volcano model to submit to the Volcano World web site.
