The Green Lady
Here she is... my creation is finally complete!

For my first guitar she looks pretty good. I built her from a Warmoth body and neck between late July and early August '03, and it was just this month (October '03) that the custom knobs came in and I put the finishing touches on. Not bad for a first project huh?

Concept: Dating back to ancient times, the Green Lady was the Celtic equivalent of the Greek Muse, a decadent and feminine figure that inspired artists and musicians. In 19th century France, the Green Fairy became a codename for absinthe, the potent and psychoactive liquor downed by artists from Toulouse-Lautrec to Oscar Wilde to Monet. The drink was blamed for everything from flashes of inspirational genius to addiction, erratic behavior, breakdowns, madness and public hysteria. When the drink was banned at the turn of the century in the U.S. and most of Europe, the emblem of the Green Lady lived on as a symbol of creativity, indulgence, madness, and rebellion against the establishment...
