Last night I woke up hungry
And the kitchen
Was inviting
But I told my stomach "Hush now!"
And I tried to fall asleep.
But my dreams were laced with hungers
That were dancing,
That were singing,
And I knew that I was thawing
And I new I wouldn't keep.
So I walked into the kitchen
And the freezer
Door was open,
So I climbed inside and fell into
A slumber, soft and deep.
