Mrs. Willson's Very Excellent Cincinnati Zoo Adventure
Mr. Donn from the Cincinnati Zoo came to our class.  He discussed animal classification with us.  He taught us to look and see if an animal has fur, scales or feathers.

In class we studied how scientists use these same observation skills to classify animals.  We look for backbones, outside coverings, where an animal lives and how he moves, grows and changes. All of this scientific data can be seen with our eyes.  We have to be good readers and writers if we want to be a scientist.  Math is important too because they collect a lot a data in the form of numbers.
