| Background: Growing up, you were always the strange one. You enjoyed tinkering with gadgets, and were often the bane of your parents, taking apart the VCR and then realizing you couldn't fix it yet. In high school, you did best in Shop class, while your younger siblings were busy with music or sports. The same thing held true in university, and eventually, you went into business at a technology company. In your spare time, you made whatever gadgets struck your eye. Meanwhile, your brother got married, and had children. You'd never been able to hold onto a significant other for long - your acid wit and occasional obsessions with your latest toy had kept you single. However, in your niece and nephew, you saw something wonderful. Slowly, you changed from souped-up TVs to amazing toys, which you happily gifted to your ever-growing family. On your fiftieth birthday, your nephew, now nineteen, came over to wish you well. He told you how much joy he always got from your creations, and in the glamour of the moment, you Chrysalized, discovering that he was also a fae. Now, you continue to make your gizmos, but spread them around to all sorts of adults and children. |
| Roleplaying Hints: It's not easy being you. You're a good twenty or twenty-five years older than most of the fae you know, but you don't let it get to you. Although you have an acid tongue, you generally don't unleash it against those that don't deserve it, and you have a major soft spot in your heart for children. Their parents may claim that some of the things you give them aren't toys per say, but you don't let that get to you either. |
