| Top Ten Most Memorable Goals at Flagler 10. Zoltan Ferencz - The 3-2 winner at Nova. Absolutely fantastic strike from like 30 yards out. 2000 9. Donny This - Free-kick against PBA. Curled into the top corner from almost 40 yards. 2001 8. Niall McGuirk - Put us 2-1 up against Webber at home with three minutes to go. He went on a big run, weaved past a couple of defenders, and when he needed a finish, my god did he get one. Then Nyarady spoiled his day by adding the third goal with seconds left. 2002 7. Pete Mychalcewycz - His first career goal came against Warner Souther. One of the most intense celebrations ever. Too bad the game got rained out and the goal didn't count. 2000 6. JR Rathjens - Also first (and only) ever goal for Flagler. I forgot who we were playing but the goal was magnificient. A shot from the halfway line, bounced twice before rolling past the keeper. What a goal! 2000 5. Joey Riley - Golden Goal winner against Embry Riddle at home. Joey's fantastic goal proved to be the 4-3 game winner. Unforgettable goal by the Gainesville lad. 2000 4. Caleb Cooper - The 1-0 winner down at Riddle was a left footed cracker from Coop. Always cool to win down there, and what a goal it was. 2000 3. Steve Nyarady - His fourth against St. Xavier. Wonderful heelflick in the air. Definately a special goal on a special day for Steve. 2003 2. Helgi Frimannsson - Free Kick against St. Thomas. In off the crossbar at the upper 90. I still can't believe it. 2003 ________________________________________________________ And the Most Memorable Goal is..... 1. Mike Allard - Came on against Warner Southern as an attacker. Wayne Reilly played a ball through to Allard who finished it with style. Most passionate celebration ever. It is the most memorable goal in my time here at Flagler. Is Allard finished scoring? Hopefully not. 2002 |
